Using the Racquet Service Interactive (RSI) CD -- Windows (PC) Version

Step Action
1 Ensure your system meets the following requirements:
  • Operating System: Windows 95 or later
  • Processor: Pentium Processor
  • RAM: 64 MB
  • CD-ROM: 24x CD-ROM Drive
  • Monitor: 1024×768 resolution (If lower, you’ll have to scroll to see some parts of screen.)
  • Software: Microsoft Internet Explorer or Other Web Browser
  • QuickTime Plugin (Free copy on disc if needed)
2 Close all Windows applications before starting, including your browser.
3 Place disc in drive. (Internet Explorer or your default browser should automatically launch RSI.)

If your browser does not launch on its own:

  • Open Windows Explorer
  • Select the CD-ROM drive
  • Double-click on Run_me.exe.
4 Click blue [CONTINUE] link near bottom of screen.
5 If you do see a person on the right side of the screen:
  • You are ready to use the RSI CD and start learning.
  • Follow the instructions on your screen to learn how to navigate throughout the CD.
  • Skip the remaining steps in these instructions.

If you don't see a person on the right, or Windows Media Player logo appears in the frame, you do not have Quick Time on your computer.

  • Go to step 6 and follow the rest of these instructions to load the QuickTime Plugin.
6 Click on the blue HERE link.
7 Choose the option that allows you to open and run this program from its current location.
8 Click [NEXT] button on Welcome to Quick Time screen.
9 Click [NEXT] button when asked if all Windows programs have been closed.
10 Click [AGREE] button to accept license agreement.
11 Click [NEXT] button to accept the default Destination Directory.
12 Select "MINIMUM" installation type, and then click [NEXT] button.
13 Click [NEXT] button to accept default Program Folder.
14 Click [NEXT] button on Quick Time Plugin Option screen.
15 Click [NEXT] button on Registration screen. (No need to complete form.)

Setup will now install QuickTime. (This may take a few moments)

16 Click [Next] button on the Introduction screen in QuickTime Settings.
17 If asked, select the Method you use to connect to the internet on Connection screen. Then click [NEXT].

If connection screen does not appear, skip to step 18.

18 Click [NEXT] button on Browser Plug-in Dialog screen.
19 Click [FINISH] button on File Type Associations screen. (This will accept default setting.)
20 Remove check from "YES, I WANT TO VIEW THE README FILE" box.

Remove check from "YES, I WANT TO LAUNCH QUICK TIME PLAYER" box.

Click [CLOSE] button.

21 Close Quick Time folder by clicking the [X] in the upper right corner of the screen.
22 Eject RSI CD, and then reinsert it. (Internet Explorer or default browser should automatically launch RSI.)

If your browser does not launch on its own:

  • Open Windows Explorer
  • Select the CD-ROM drive
  • Double click on Run_me.exe.
23 Click blue [CONTINUE] link near bottom of your screen.
24 If you see a dialog box directing you to connect to the Internet to update Quick Time software, click [CANCEL] link
25 If you see a person on the right side of screen:
  • You are ready to use the RSI CD and start learning.
  • Follow the instructions on your screen to learn how to navigate throughout the CD.

If you still don't see a person on the right, or Windows Media Player logo still appears in frame, you were unsuccessful in Installing QuickTime.
